CRTTRS

My first attempt at a daily drawing habit began on Jan. 1, 2010, when I started drawing one “crttr” each day.

The figures were inspired by the way my son drew people, always with wild arms and legs. I had a box of leftover paper from screen-printing posters, which I cut into 4 × 6-inch cards, and I was really into Micron pens at the time.

At first, I completed one card every day. Eventually, I began sketching daily and finishing several at a time on weekends. Then a production shoot took over my schedule, and the daily practice fell apart.
